May Hwen, 37, began her Optical Consulting career in Santa Monica, coinciding with her Optical Management career in Nashville and LA. "Santa Monica is a glasses town." Surrounded by industry experts and optical reps on a daily basis, May recalls her first impression of working in the heightened West Coast optical market, where your clientele has an exceptional understanding of the product and the demand for quality work is tremendous. In a city where the latest technology and trend is ever-present, May Hwen carved out her own name as an accomplished optical manager and optical consultant to eye doctors, corporations and patients alike.

Having consulted a historical launch of Nashville's first exclusively independent optometry office in 2016, followed by the re-launch of another optometrist-owned practice in 2017, May has the experience to build or grow an optical and connect it to the community. Implementing new and unique optical solutions and creating a lane for white glove service in the optical industry is a primary focus since the launch of May Hwen's own Nashville practice, Chart Optical, in November of 2017, followed by the launch of the second c/o satellite Los Angeles location in July of 2018. On the corporation front, she has designed custom-tailored vision care plans as a consultant for executives and employees, as well as executing those plans as the lead optician.
